Partying twice as hard
Apparently, the folks over at UK ERP systems company McGuffie Brunton are partying twice as hard, claiming “double cause for celebration.” Today, company representatives were proud to announce both the observation of the company’s 25th anniversary and a gaggle of contract wins. In the first quarter, McGuffie Brunton reports some £900,000 worth of contracts signed.
As the world’s largest supplier of SYSPRO manufacturing, financial and distribution systems, McGuffie Brunton has already got off to a flying start in its 25th anniversary year by winning eleven new IT contracts in the first quarter. New contracts include those with Allen-Vanguard, producer of remote operating vehicles to counter the threat of terrorist activity; Fontaine International Europe, fifth wheel coupling device producer; and Grange Packaging and Distribution, a company that wrapper and packer of chocolates and sweets. The Vanguard deal was a major move for McGuffie Brunton.
In this phased implementation programme, Allen-Vanguard is installing a suite of SYSPRO manufacturing, financial and CRM modules that will go live by January 2007. On top of the pride, McGuffie Brunton also announced the release of upgrade SYSPRO 6.0 Version 10. Promising deeper functionality in finance, distribution and manufacturing areas, the new release is touted as ultra-flexible and -customizable.
McGuffie Brunton was founded in Manchester, England, in 1981 by Paul Murray (who remains the firm’s managing director) and Brian Greene. McGuffie Brunton has offices in the Midlands, East Anglia and Surrey and has implemented over 650 ERP systems in the UK.
