A fruitful summer for Encompix
Summer time and the living is easy…for Encompix. The Summer 2006 issue of International Food Safety & Quality Network recently profiled Encompix ERP as a key player because of its focus on engineer-to-order companies; singled out was the work done at Reading Bakery Systems.
According to Michael Cox, IT Manager, this project-based ERP system addressed Reading Bakery Systems’ key requirements including partial release of bills of material, tracking budget to actual costs, and handling long lead time items. As for the future, Reading Bakery Systems is expecting major improvements to improve business performance. “We expect to improve the accuracy and speed in which we generate our estimates,” said Cox.
Meanwhile, Encompix representatives were also able to announce another success story last week, when Barrie, Ontario, Canada-based Prodomax Automation, Inc. announced their implementation of Encompix product. Prodomax employs over 200 employees and operates from two manufacturing facilities totaling 150,000 square feet. Prodomax provides automated manufacturing solutions for assembly, welding, machining, laser, and material handling applications.
Prodomax ended up purchasing a fifty-user Encompix ERP system to replace a series of software packages and homegrown systems. Encompix, a business unit of Made2Manage Systems, has specialized in manufacturing software requirements of engineer-to-order companies since 1992.
