Transatel to Launch Multiple MVNOs in the UK Using Amdocs Compact Convergence System
Transatel is using the same real-time charging and customer care system to support 11 other MVNOs across Europe
ST. LOUIS (October 21, 2010) – Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that Transatel expanded its use of Amdocs Compact Convergence to support three new prepaid mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs). Headquartered in Paris, Transatel delivers Mobile Virtual Network Enablement (MVNE) services to multiple MVNO brands in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the UK.
“We have used Amdocs Compact Convergence reliably over the past four years to support 11 other MVNOs across Europe,” said Jacques Bonifay, chief executive officer of Transatel. ”It meets the most demanding and advanced network requirements and can enable our new MVNO partners to quickly launch operations and localize services to offer a personalized experience to their different market segments. Transatel plans to expand further and launch more MVNOs during the next few months, with the aim to triple our subscriber base in just over one year.”
Amdocs Compact Convergence provides a single, next generation, IN (intelligent network) solution for convergent, real-time charging, customer care, self-care and value-added services. Amdocs Compact Convergence can support multiple MVNOs, each with a separate and secure working environment (multi-tenancy). As a result, MVNEs can help their MVNO customers to launch operations faster and to operate at a lower cost in order to capitalize on the growing MVNO market opportunity. The platform is also highly configurable, allowing for service localization and a different brand “look and feel” for each MVNO.
