A Galactus of software for Firstwave
Representatives of web-based CRM vendor Firstwave Technologies, Inc. announced the completion of an Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement with Galactus Software LLP. With the agreement is promised an expansion in use of Firstwave’s .Net Integrated Development Environment.
Firstwave receives exclusive rights to the Integrated Development Environment under the terms of contract. Though Firstwave Technologies does have previous agreements with software and business solutions providers First Sports International and M1 Global Solutions, Galactus was able to agree to terms regarding its own exclusive use of the software. The Cape Coral, Fla.-based Galactus Software specializes in platform conversion.
The firm converts outdated platforms to more up to date platforms. The .Net Integrated Development Environment was developed to assist in CRM market application creation. The deal is part of a slow shift in Firstwave Technologies’ philosophy from its former emphasis on development of integration tools to its new goal of building applications in markets.
Enthusiastically calling the agreement “a win-win situation” in press material, Firstwave Technologies CEO Richard Brock claimed that the application-building area is “where we can gain competitive advantage.” Galactus President / CEO Greg Lenox touted his firm’s Integrated Development Environment for its “superior functionality, unique capabilities, and ease of use through the drag-and-drop application development engine.”
