Business integration and development technology provider Magic Software Enterprises Ltd. today announced that it has sold its worldwide CRM activity to eContact Software Ltd. The Magic Software CRM system is designed to assist in managing customer relations and call centers; the main part of Magic clientele is based in Israel.

Along with the announcement, eContact representatives stated that plans to make “extensive modifications” in the acquired product lines are in the works, including conversion to an internet system incorporating VoIP. The transaction also includes incorporating Magic Software Enterprises’ eService system, an internet-based service provider system. eContact press material promised that “The great technological flexibility and new product line capabilities of Magic Software enable the realization of eContact’s business model.” eContact promises “ground breaking CRM systems” for Linux, Windows and i5 (AS400).

Additionally, eContact CRM systems will come ready to link to Voice over IP-based telephony systems. Magic Software Enterprises chairman / acting CEO David Assia issued a challenge to the competition, particularly of the local variety: “I have no doubt that the talented team that leads eContact company … will be a strong asset to our customer base and would enable the company to become an important and dominating player in the world, and in Israel in particular.” About Magic Software Enterprises Magic Software Enterprises is a subsidiary of Formula Systems.
