ACC implementation of FINEOS fine
FINEOS Corporation, a provider of componentized software solutions for the insurance, government social insurance, and banking industries, has announced that the Accident Compensation Corporation of New Zealand has gone live with the initial pilot of its FINEOS implementation.
During the initial rollout, 400 users in New Zealand are using FINEOS to process bodily injury, work cover, and other workers’ compensation claims. The first live week using EOS concluded with more than 2,000 new claims being processed efficiently and without incident.
The 2,000-plus remaining staff members will be transitioned to the new system by mid-2007.
ACC provides personal injury cover for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand on behalf of the government. The project has been designed to help ACC transition to a virtually paperless environment; the FINEOS solution is fully web-based. EOS has heretofore been seamlessly integrated with eight existing systems, in areas including document management, security, provider and employer management, and general ledger systems.
Founded in 1993, FINEOS is a specialist in banking and insurance software. Among FINEOS clientele are Allianz, Aviva, Eureko, Fortis, Skandia and the Zurich Financial Services Group. The first institutional investor upon foundation of the company was ABN AMRO Capital; today, Allied Irish Bank IT Fund and Enterprise Ireland are also investors.
