As free as Willy
A pair of announcements closed out the week over at TechWhale, but let’s talk about the free stuff first. Proclaiming it an “evolutionary step,” TechWhale representatives announced the new BlueWhaleCRM. Dubbed version BlueWhaleCRM NET 2.0, the new version, promises press material, will “take advantage of the .NET 2.0 framework features,” specifically via the included AJAX and ATLAS technology. The upgrade will be released in beta format by September, and TechWhale is currently accepting applications for beta users at www.techwhale.com.
No cost will be charged and program participants will be given a free perpetual use runtime license of BlueWhaleCRM for up to twenty-five users. Meanwhile, more TechWhale song came with the announcement of the release of Version 2.9 of the BlueWhaleCRM software. Version 2.9 of BlueWhaleCRM builds on the extant BlueWhaleCRM toolset; featured in PR are enhancements to the scheduling modules, customer interaction modules, and added additional automated workflow functionality.
BlueWhaleCRM is offered in standard, hosted and developer formats; the last option provides companies with the source code to customize and integrate the application with their current applications and architectures. The standard edition runs US $150 per user and the hosted edition is US $35 per user per month. A web-based demonstration of BlueWhaleCRM is available at the TechWhale website noted above. TechWhale Solutions, Inc. was formed in early 2004 and is headquartered in Miami, Florida.
