Mindspeed Technologies, Inc., a supplier of semiconductor solutions for network infrastructure applications, today announced the release of its Comcerto VoIP 900 series processor, designed for emerging IP multimedia subsystem networking applications.

The Comcerto 900 seeks to assist service providers in transcoding wireless and wireline protocols to transport voice and video between legacy circuit-switched and packet-based networks. The release of the Comcerto 900 series processor is conveniently timed with Mindspeed’s recently announced wireless software suite and proven wireless codec portfolio.
