BridgeCRM v.5 from Platypus

Hawthorn, Australia-based Platypus Systems Pty Ltd today announced the release of BridgeCRM v.5, its CRM desktop software designed for medium-sized organizations. BridgeCRM promises to provide efficacious collection and management of information for use in company communication services; the product is designed as a multi-user solution and is said to be deployable easily enough that a duck-billed egg-laying mammal could do so.

As part of the CRM solution, the package has been designed to be simple with the aforementioned easy deployment and straightforward functions including all the usual suspects: calendar, company listings, contact lists, contact groups, an in/out board, note-taking and a to do list. Optional functions include item tracking, opportunity tracking, and support; extra components are available for specific industries.

BridgeCRM is immediately available in desktop PC version; PDA component and professional version using Microsoft SQL Server for data storage will be released before the end of the year. Platypus Systems representatives announced in tandem with the release that new versions are planned to be released annually. The product and trial version is reportedly available online, but the actual location eludes press material, online information and several searches by this writer.
