CCG and VGE partner up
From the 2006 Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Washington, D.C. comes the news of a strategic partnership between Covad Communications Group, Inc. and Venture Group Enterprises. CCG is a provider of integrated voice and data communications, and VGE is a sales and marketing agent support organization specializing in telecommunications.
The deal will enable VGE distribution partners to sell Covad’s Voice over IP and broadband solutions to small businesses. Covad will work with VGE to assist phone vendors, VARs, and integrators utilize VGE’s resources to sell Covad services; in the deal, VGE also offers master agents, web marketing agents and other marketing telecommunications services an automated web-based platform. Sounding romantic indeed at the announcement, VGE president Doug Turpin said that “Covad’s partnership validates the solid channels we provide.”
Validation is always swell, isn’t it? San Jose, Calif.-based Covad is a provider of integrated voice and data communications in the United States. The company offers DSL, Voice Over IP, T1, Web hosting, managed security, IP and dial-up, and bundled voice and data services directly.
Covad broadband services are currently available in 44 states and 235 metropolitan areas representing 57 million homes and businesses. Founded in 1992, VGE seeks to act as a low-profile support organization for master agents and referral model agents in America. VGE systems have processed more than 400,000 new customer orders in the last four years.
