CDC hits the charts
Some good news for CDC Software, a firm under the gloomy skies of their recent failed takeover bid. The subsidiary of CDC Corporation and a provider of enterprise software applications, today announced that it had placed 18th position on Manufacturing Business Technology’s Global 100 List of Enterprise and Supply Chain Management Application vendors for 2006, a ranking determined by total company revenues in 2005.
The results have just been released for the July 2006 issue of Manufacturing Business Technology magazine. During 2005, CDC Software was able to show growth in software sales, expansion in implementations with current customers, and broadening in service offerings. Most importantly, there was revenue. New customers accounted for approximately 40 percent of total software license revenue at CDC in 2005, a ratio that CDC claims puts the firm “among the highest in the enterprise software industry and indicates continued healthy expansion of the business and strong demand for industry-specific applications.”
Maintenance retention rates also exceeded 90 percent and repeat business was up, which CDC saw as signifying a high degree of customer satisfaction. A bit boldly did Peter Yip, executive chairman of the board / CEO of CDC Software react to the nod: "We are very proud, and not at all surprised by our advancement into the elite Top-20 list of global enterprise vendors," he said. CDC Software is a provider of enterprise software applications designed to assist organizations in delivering a superior customer experience. The CDC Software product suite includes Pivotal CRM, c360 CRM, Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform development tools, Ross enterprise resource planning, Ross supply chain management, IMI warehouse management, order management, Platinum China human resource solutions, and business analytics.
