Apex watchers, take note. Collaboration platform company Central Desktop has announced its integration Salesforce and is now available on the AppExchange. With Central Desktop for AppExchange, those using the Salesforce are promised the ability to create personalized customer extranets and partner portals. Central Desktop provides wiki technology in a structured, permission-based environment.

Features touted in Central Desktop for AppExchange include: customer-facing extranets; complete customization; group calendars for projects and coordination; the ability to version track files and documents; searchable discussion threads; a secure environment with 256 bit SSL encryption; and full-text search within documents and files.
