Contact center summit information

Dates and location for the semi-annual meeting of bigwigs in the call center world have been announced: the Contact Center Summit Fall 2006 will be held in Palm Springs, California, October 22-24. Nice. The summit is billed as an exclusive event that “caters to the needs of senior executives concerned with management issues associated with the implementation and use of the latest in contact center technologies and strategies.”

As previously, contact center summit participants will be senior-level executives, specifically chief customer officers and EVPs, SVPs, VPs and directors of call center operations/services; claims administration; client services; contact centers; customer care; loyalty, satisfaction, relationship management; e-commerce support; and technical support. The solution providers hawking their wares in Palm Springs are folks from across the industry, with representation promised from industries including ACD management software; CRM; instant messaging applications; analytic and design support tools; data analysis; IVR and speech recognition; application service providers; data warehousing; LAN-based phone systems; billing and network management tracking; software and systems; e-commerce and sales support; business intelligence; outsourcing solutions; call accounting and tele-management software; workforce management and forecasting; and call / contact center consulting.

Twenty-five presenters have already been announced for the summit, including VPs, executive VPs and directors aplenty. Notable among them is Brad Pitt, field services and sales senior director of Choice Hotels International. (You were expecting someone else?) Other features of the convention include the case-study driven executive summit program, which seeks to address recent and future developments in the industry, including areas such as trends, feedback, analytics, performance management, security and privacy issues, employee retention; home-based agents; and offshoring.
