CRM: It’s in the genes
Now here’s a proper 21st century deal: customer resource management for the genetic materials industry.
Representatives of Soffront Software Inc. have announced that Operon Biotechnologies, Inc. has selected Soffront CRM to improve their customer service, marketing, sales, and IT support desk. Operon Biotechnologies claims status as a global leader in custom oligo nucleic acid synthesis, which is manufactured using DNA and RNA building blocks. Hey, The Chump’ll take their word for it.
Under terms of the agreement, Soffront CRM will provide Operon with a complete CRM and order-processing solution. Operon’s marketing, sales, and customer service departments will use Soffront for activities such as accessing comprehensive customer history records, integrating reports, exploring data mining possibilities, and implementing sales and marketing campaigns.
Operon purchased Soffront CRM modules including customer service, customer portal, marketing automation, direct-mail campaign, sales force automation, employee help desk, and defect tracking.
Founded in 1986, Operon Biotechnologies, Inc. is a global supplier of custom nucleic acids for academic research, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical development. Through production facilities in the U.S., Germany, and Japan and international distribution, Operon provides scientists with “standard or highly modified DNA and RNA molecules in both small- and large-scale amounts to satisfy their oligo requirements.” (“Oligo” here refers to “Oligonucleotides,” or short sequences of nucleotides typically with twenty or fewer bases. What, you didn’t know that?)
Self-billed as a pioneer of CRM since 1992, Soffront offers end-to-end, fully integrated CRM solutions spanning sales, marketing, customer service and employee help desks; the firm’s clientele now exceeds 500. Soffront is a privately-held firm.
