Enermet and Sonlinc for Syd Energi
From the great land of Denmark comes the announcement from Enermet and Sonlinc of the successfully integration of Enermet’s advanced automatic meter reading system AIM with Sonlinc’s enterprise resource planning system SonWin, used in customer information at Danish energy company Syd Energi.
Integration was performed by Enermet and Sonlinc via Enermet’s AIMIA platform, which will link the AMR system to the energy company’s other IT systems including customer information and billing. The ongoing implementation at Syd Energi is reportedly one of the largest AMR systems in the Nordic nations; the Enermet AMR system is planned to cover 156,000 customers in the area of the now-defunct Sydvest Energi.
Founded in 1987, Sonlinc is a leading supplier of utility ERP systems in Denmark and now boasts over 1200 users handling data from 1.3 million consumers. Enermet is an international supplier of energy metering and load management solutions. Enermet has sales offices in over twenty countries all over the world and showed a 2005 turnover of €75.5 million (approximately US $96.7 million).
Syd Energi is the fourth largest energy utility in Denmark (and, according to company PR, the first to automate the gathering and management of energy metering information). Syd Energi supplies power to all 259,000 electricity customers in Jutland, south Denmark. Company headquarters are situated in Esberg.
