Initiator? No: Leader!
Initiate Systems Inc., provider of data management solutions, has announced that its advancement in Forrester’s quarter four vendor summary of the market. Previously listed as a “strong performer” in the third-quarter report, Initiate is now called a “Leader” in the “Forrester Wave: Customer Data Integration Vendor Summary, Q4 2006” report.
Report authors touted Initiate Systems for “lead[ing] pure plays with the strongest overall strategy, rich data cleansing and customer battle-tested matching capabilities.” The firm also forecasted that “Initiate remains on track toward an aggressive growth trajectory and international expansion.”
The weighted competition is based on past research, user needs assessments, and vendor and expert interviews. Initiate was given the highest scores for security and privacy; as the cross-reference registry style leader; and for its overall strategy. The Forrester Wave report on customer data integration evaluated the top nine CDI solutions across 134 criteria, grouped according to the current offering, overall strategy and market presence.
Forrester analysts further wrote that Initiate remains well suited to healthcare, public sector and pharmacy, stating that Initiate’s “strong high volume real-time matching and rapid implementation lends itself well to B2C industries such as hospitality, retail, and consumer products as well as B2B scenarios such as high-tech industries and 3PL,” while the Initiate management team “may be one of the best run in the industry.”

Initiate Systems now boasts a clientele base of over ninety companies which have deployed Initiate software, including Microsoft Corporation, Intuit, Countrywide Financial, United Healthcare, WellPoint, Wells Fargo, Albertson’s Inc., CVS Pharmacy, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Choice Hotels International, Ingenix, Inc., Northrop Grumman, RxHub LLC, Sentara Healthcare and Sutter Health.
