Intrado: They love L.A.

Intrado Inc., a provider of integrated data and telecommunications solutions and VoIP emergency 911 services, today announced that it its deployment of Intrado V9-1-1 services in Los Angeles County. Intrado needn’t have reminded the Chump that this is the first VoIP emergency 911 services provider to “meet Los Angeles County’s stringent operational requirements for VoIP emergency 911 service delivery.”

In accordance with Los Angeles County requirements, Intrado worked with public safety officials from the county to develop, load and manage geographic information system shape files denoting public safety answering point emergency service number boundaries and the associated boundary data for each “emergency service zone.”

Intrado is a subsidiary of West Corporation and delivers solutions to communications service providers and public safety organizations, including complex data management, network transactions, wireless data services and notification services.
