JX2 on the SaaS bandwagon
It seems Marc Benioff’s approach regarding the end of software as we know it may be catching on. Co-owner of JX2 Technologies, a NetSuite business partner, Jim Spillane took time to address the media on his vision, for he has seen the future. “This is the future,” Spillane says. “SaaS is moving to the forefront as the preferred software delivery method for small and medium businesses and will only become more popular as companies see the benefits and adopt the model.”
The comment marks not only Spillane’s opinion, but sets the trend for the JX2 business model and could very well serve as an ideal for smaller and smaller firms to join the SaaS crowd. Taking up the rallying cry of “Who says enterprise-quality business software is only for the elite?” JX2 is now essentially staking its entire business reputation in the small business. In business together for years, Spillane and partner Jim Macdonald kept an eye on their niche market – small- to medium-sized business enterprises – and noticed that “the whole SaaS thing [was really beginning to take] off.
Earlier this year, JX2 changed their entire business model from hosting and developing web sites and custom software to also offering on-demand solutions. Earlier this year, JX2 was chosen as the only authorized solution provider in the Lehigh Valley area for the NetSuite product line, including the CRM and ERP software. Today, JX2 Technologies’ business partners include NetSuite, USA.net , Intellicontact, DotNet Nuke, Webmail.us, Rackforce, and USLEC, as well as Salesforce.com in l’espirit de “death to software.”
