Kintera’s new Sphere

Kintera, Inc. today announced the expansion of its social constituent relationship management (a.k.a. CRM) platform to incorporate online fund accounting within Kintera Sphere.

Kintera claims Sphere Fundware is the first software as a service fund accounting program tailored for nonprofits, and promises enhanced social accountability and transparency. Kintera Sphere Fundware seeks to enable nonprofits and government organizations in tracking the flow of funds and integrating with existing business applications, such as e-commerce, utility billing, grants management and donor management. The new product will be available in SaaS and client-installed formats, with the first phase of the product available in the first quarter 2007.

Kintera will be previewing Sphere Fundware at the 2007 Kintera User Conference to be held February 4-7 in San Diego.

Kintera Inc. is an online solution provider for nonprofit organizations. Kintera’s trademarked innovations include the Friends Asking Friends program and the software platform Kintera Sphere, and the firm claims over 15,000 accounts. Kintera Sphere includes the company’s recently launched social constituent relationship management system. Today, Kintera has signed contracts for social CRM that represent over 1.4 million constituent records.
