MVI now a CDC
Representatives of CDC Software today announced that the firm has acquired MVI Technology, a provider of performance management solutions and services specialized for the food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and chemicals industries.
CDC Software sees the acquisition of MVI as a tool to expand the CDC customer base in strategic industries and to broaden the company’s overall offerings with complementary applications and services for the mid-market and with larger, tier-1 companies.
The MVI Technology system is a real-time performance management solution which seeks to enable manufacturers to merge automated shop floor data, quality process control and manufacturing performance dashboards as part of improved visibility and continuous improvement campaigns supported by a Six Sigma process.
CDC wishes to used MVI systems to complement CDC Software’s Ross ERP, Ross supply chain management, and Ross enterprise performance management solutions. MVI’s clientele boasts over 80 clients including Allied Bakeries, Bio Product Laboratories, Calypso Soft Drinks, Coors Breweries, Heinz, Genentech, Marsan Foods, Premiere Foods and Tetley GB.
The acquisition is structured with a three-year earn-out for the MVI management team, which will remain with CDC Software.
MVI Technology, an enterprise software company with offices in the US and UK, has worked for 15 years in the consumer products manufacturing sector.
