Neolane for Virgin’s goooooooooooooooooooooals

So CRM may not be as entertaining as David Beckham; at least they’re on the same playing field now. With company PR reporting that the “Neolane Marketing Solution Performs Live at Virgin Megastores,” Neolane reps may now have the weapon of hip in their arsenal (no pun intended).

Virgin megastores selected Neolane CRM v4 back in June and began a two-month implementation of the hosted service solution. That implementation has now been completed, with Virgin employing Neolane in creating personalised, targeted, customer-centric communications in hopes of increasing customer loyalty, higher response rates and, of course, revenues.

Neolane v4 promises to enable Virgin Megastores to present opted-in customers with communications and incentives specifically geared to their purchase and preference profiles. The solution also enables Virgin Megastores to run their online and offline campaigns in-house, whereas such campaigns had been outsourced in the past. Neolane enables the company to quickly and collaboratively develop and control multiple tightly focused campaigns simultaneously from a single console.

Later this year, Virgin Megastores plans to incorporate electronic point of sale transactional retail data from users of its new student discount card launched in September. This will enable even greater degrees of customer segmentation and purchase insight. Neolane UK and its partners will handle the consolidation of customer data from multiple sources across the retailer, and will also support the solution with an ongoing data quality foundation in hopes of providing unified, clean and complete customer views.

Virgin Megastores is an entertainment retailers with 126 stores throughout the UK and Ireland reporting more than 10 million customers annually. Famous for in-store live performances, Virgin Megastores has hosted David Beckham, Pele, Destiny’s Child, Pamela Anderson, U2, Franz Ferdinand and Paul Weller, among others. Virgin launched Virgin Digital in September 2005, a service through which two million tracks can be accessed.
