New from HCL
HCL Technologies Ltd., an India-based global IT services company, announced the availability of vertically-focused solutions constructed on Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics CRM from Microsoft Convergence 2007 yesterday. The solutions have been christened Intelligent Retail Industry Suite (or IRIS) and EmpowerFin.
In support of enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management within the retail and financial services industries, the programs were developed by HCL’s Global Microsoft Dynamics Practice within the company’s Enterprise Application Services unit.
IRIS is Dynamics AX-based and promises to support point-of-sale, store management, supply chain and finance for specialty retail and food & grocery. IRIS includes functionality such as a Smart Shelf Management System with RFID and barcode compatibility.
EmpowerFin is Microsoft Dynamics CRM-based and is designed for insurance, corporate banking and wealth management institutions.
HCL Technologies first began in the “global IT landscape” in 1999 after its IPO. and today focuses on transformational outsourcing. HCL boasts a global network of offices in sixteen countries and works in various industries including financial services, retail, aerospace, automotive, semiconductors, telecom, media publishing, and entertainment. For fourth quarter 2006, HCL Technologies reported revenue of $1.155 billion and employed 38,317.
