Amdocs Continues to Demonstrate Momentum with MVNE/Os across Europe and around the World
Franceâ??s Transatel has deployed Amdocs Compact Convergence across multiple markets
BARCELONA (May 13, 2009) –
At the MVNO Industry Summit 2009, Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that its Compact Convergence solution continues to gain momentum with mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and mobile virtual network enablers (MVNEs) around the world. In addition, Amdocs announced that France’s Transatel is using Amdocs Compact Convergence to support its MVNO operations.
Transatel is both an MVNE and an MVNO in Europe, serving multiple MVNO brands in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the UK. Transatel has deployed Amdocs to support 11 prepaid MVNOs, from one central location, the company’s headquarters in Paris.
“The Amdocs Compact Convergence provides us with an ideal prepaid and service delivery platform to quickly and cost effectively support the launch and operations of new MVNOs, all from one location regardless of the mobile network operator and network technology,” said Bertrand Salomon, Deputy CEO of Transatel. “The Amdocs platform enables us to personalize customer lifecycles, implement various prepaid rating and top-up methods in order to support different brands, languages, currencies and customer logic, allowing each MVNO to maintain its own separate brand identity and creativity with security and reliability.”
Amdocs’ growing presence among MVNOs is demonstrated by recent wins and further expansion inside existing customers, such as its announcement in February 2009 that Effortel selected Amdocs Compact Convergence to support its launch of an MVNO in Taiwan. Also in the last year, Amdocs announced a new partnership with Tiscali, which selected the Amdocs Compact Convergence suite to support its MVNO launch in Italy.
Amdocs Compact Convergence is a complete, next-generation IN (intelligent network), integrated suite that includes, convergent real-time charging, service delivery and value-added services, customer care, and self-care for launching cost effective, mobile services including MVNE and MVNOs. This offering is designed to address the cost constraints service providers face in growth markets and enables Amdocs to help smaller carriers to launch operations and enter new markets quickly and cost effectively.
