Amdocs Employees Volunteer to Support Children Around the World

Amdocs marks United Nations’ Universal Children’s Day with activities to support children in four continents; company launches global donation drive for UNICEF

ST. LOUIS (November 25, 2010) – Amdocs, the leading provider of customer experience systems, continues to support Universal Children’s Day, with activities in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East specially designed to mark this annual event. Amdocs is also holding, for the third consecutive year, a global employee donation drive for UNICEF, targeted to raise funds to support children in need.

Activities organized by Amdocs’ employees to mark this year’s Universal Children’s Day include:

  • In the U.S., Amdocs employees will prepare and celebrate Thanksgiving meals with children from shelters in Saint Louis, Missouri, and Denver, Colorado. Amdocs will also host a movie day at a children’s home in Sacramento, California;
  • Amdocs’ Cyprus branch will host 60 high-school students to communicate the significance and impact of Universal Children’s Day, as well as to enjoy a show performed by Amdocs employees;
  • In Israel, employees organized an outdoor adventure day at a national park for more than 500 children from local boarding schools. Activities included walking tree rope-bridges, forest tracking and group capoeira.

These initiatives are part of Amdocs’ ongoing global community relations program which focuses on supporting the well-being of children at risk and providing them with educational opportunities. Hundreds of Amdocs employees volunteer and make a true difference in the lives of more than 3,500 children in the communities where they live and work. A recent success story in India is testament to the volunteering spirit of Amdocs’ employees and to their deep relationships with the company’s community partners. Amdocs India, on learning that a children’s shelter was closing, was able to work with other community partners to find new shelters for the children.
