Power Efficiency Corporation Wins Stevie Award for Energy Sales Organization of the Year
SugarCRM powers sales and marketing for industry-leading organization; second quarter sales increase by 400%
CUPERTINO, CA (December 10, 2007) –
SugarCRM today announced that SugarCRM customer Power Efficiency Corporation was awarded the ‘Energy Sales Organization of the Year’ at the Selling Power Sales Excellence Awards in Las Vegas on December 6th.
The awards were jointly presented by Selling Power magazine, the leading sales management publication with 145,000 subscribers in 67 countries, and The Stevie Awards, which have been hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” by the New York Post.
Companies of all sizes and across every industry were submitted for consideration in nearly 60 categories, including ‘Best Run Sales Organization of the Year’, ‘Best Organization Achievement of the Year’ and ‘Best Team Performance of the Year’.
“We are honored to receive this Stevie Award and to be recognized as leaders in our industry,” says Steven Strasser, Chairman and CEO of Power Efficiency. “Combining SugarCRM with Power Efficiency’s strong sales team has significantly improved our sales results this year.”
Power Efficiency is a provider of proprietary energy management technology solutions whose energy saving technology enables electric motors to perform at their optimum efficiency without affecting speed, while also increasing motor life. Customers may save up to 40 percent in energy savings in appropriate applications.
Power Efficiency selected Sugar to optimize their sales organization, which was geographically dispersed and lacked an internal application to store, manage and share customer data. SugarCRM provided Power Efficiency with a web-based CRM solution that allows it to centralize data and automate a number of internal processes, including purchase order workflow, product development, project management, bug tracking, customer support, vendor management and returns tracking.
“Sugar has been instrumental in helping grow our sales for the second quarter of this year by 400% over the second quarter last year,” says B.J. Lackland, Chief Financial Officer at Power Efficiency. “We have a great product and great people, but having Sugar really keeps our organization focused on the task at hand.”
“Congratulations to Power Efficiency for this recognition of their outstanding sales and marketing operations,” says Lars Nordwall, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at SugarCRM. “Power Efficiency is another example of the power of the commercial open source model to drive tangible benefits in companies of all sizes.”
Members of the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected the Award winners from among the Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging.
