Switzerland’s Sunrise Expands and Extends Relationship with Alcatel-Lucent and Amdocs to 2015
Agreement expands Amdocs’ support of Sunrise’s operational support systems for better business performance and lower cost of ownership
ST. LOUIS (March 03, 2009) –
Amdocs (NYSE: DOX), the leading provider of customer experience systems, today announced that it has signed a new multi-year services agreement to maintain the Amdocs operational support systems (OSS) installation at Sunrise Communications AG, the second-largest provider of mobile, fixed-line and Internet services in Switzerland. The agreement was signed with Alcatel-Lucent, which manages the network on behalf of Sunrise.
Under the terms of the agreement, Alcatel-Lucent will extend the existing Amdocs OSS maintenance plan at Sunrise for core product support to 2015, and expand its use to support features and functionality developed by third parties. Alcatel-Lucent is a preferred Amdocs integrator partner for service fulfilment and inventory solutions and the two companies were selected to meet Sunrise’s requirement for improved OSS operations and engineering with a lower total cost of ownership.
“Alcatel-Lucent is working with Amdocs to enable Sunrise to improve service delivery and provide an even better customer experience, as well as resolve problems faster,” said Sven Dunckel, Manager OSS Service Assurance at Alcatel-Lucent Schweiz AG. “This expansion underscores Alcatel-Lucent’s ability to manage and maintain equipment from a wide variety of vendors, and service providers are increasingly looking to that capability to maintain their increasingly complex, multi-vendor networks.”
“In today’s environment, service providers are focused on ensuring their existing systems continue to deliver business value,” said Michael Couture, Head of Global Marketing at Amdocs. “By expanding the Amdocs maintenance plan to cover all levels of support, Amdocs and Alcatel-Lucent will streamline operations at Sunrise and enable Sunrise to maximize the value of its strategic investment in Amdocs OSS for years to come.”
Amdocs OSS products have been supporting Sunrise for several years and are facilitating the rapid introduction and accurate delivery of new Sunrise services, including fixed-mobile and triple-play bundles. For further information on Amdocs Product Support, please visit http://support.amdocs.com
