Oracle buys again

Oracle buys again: It’s almost not even news anymore. Oracle representatives today announced that the firm will attain the intellectual property assets of predictive analytics technology provider Sigma Dynamics.

The move is touted as enhancement for the Oracle business intelligence suite and Oracle Fusion Middleware offerings. Key decision applications in Sigma Dynamics’ real-time decision software include real-time offer management, field service optimization, predictive call routing, and fraud detection.

In combination with Oracle Business Intelligence Suite and Oracle Fusion Middleware, promises Oracle PR, businesses will be able to leverage insight contained in historical and real-time data sources. Sigma Dynamics has been the technology foundation for Oracle’s Siebel Real-Time Decisions product within the Oracle business intelligence suite.

Oracle plans to continue to make Sigma Dynamics’ technology offerings available as stand-alone product and in conjunction with Oracle’s full range of enterprise applications.
