Parature on a Capitol implementation
McLean, Va.-based on-demand customer support software provider Parature announced that Capitol College of Maryland has implemented the Parature Campus Support Solution. Capitol College distance learning services director Danielle Faison gave the solution an overwhelming thumbs up: “Overall, we’ve been very pleased,” said she. Capitol College provides all graduate level courses via the internet, and needed was heavy twenty-four hour support, what with the myriad possibilities of times of student use.
Faison states the basic problem thusly: “Because our online students use various internet service providers, PCs, browsers and operating system versions, having that information available in the ticket history and in the student’s contact information is extremely helpful.” Capitol College is currently exploring the use of the survey tool within the Parature Campus Support Solution to enable online students to evaluate instructors and the distance learning services department in general. Parature is used at Capitol in its distance learning services department to support online students, faculty, traditional students and alumni.
Founded in 1927, Capitol College is the only independent college in Maryland dedicated to engineering, computer sciences, information technologies and business. All graduate-level degrees are available online. The Capitol College campus itself is located in Laurel, Maryland, a town roughly midway between Washington, DC and Baltimore.
