Patni an undisputed leader
In press material, most companies’ PR departments like to describe their firm as “a leading” or “the leading” this or that. Today, Patni Computer Systems Ltd. has an actual real claim to such a claim. Patni, a global IT consulting and services provider, was proclaimed the leader in customer satisfaction rating among Indian offshore supply chain solution providers.
The kudos came from a Forrester Research, Inc. survey entitled “Ranking Supply Chain Management Tools and Services.” The survey was conducted by Forrester in June and involved querying 167 North American supply chain decision makers regarding their satisfaction supply chain software and services providers. Almost two-thirds – 64 percent – of respondents said they would recommend Patni to others, giving Patni the highest customer satisfaction among Indian offshore providers covered in the survey.
Less abstract and more compelling for Forrester interests, though, has got to be the recent release of their second-quarter results, which showed an overall rise in profits of 32 percent. Patni’s revenue for 2005 was US $450 million/ Patni Computer Systems Limited is an IT Services provider supplying Global 2000 clients with services such as application development, application maintenance and support, packaged software implementation, infrastructure management services, product engineering services, business process outsourcing and quality assurance.
Patni employs 12,000 and has multiple offshore development facilities across eight cities; Patni has 23 international offices across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
