Pittwater gains Merit
From Melbourne-based Merit Technology comes the announcement of an agreement to deploy a CRM solution for Down Under’s Pittwater council. The contract is right in line with current Merit strategy, a strategy that includes lots more involvement with city councils in the NSW area; last year saw Merit deploy their CRM system for Marrickville council.
Under terms of the contract, Merit replaced the council’s in-house CRM system, and will integrate Merit CRM with extant applications including the Technology One proclaim rates and property system; Avand’s DataWorks document management solution; and MapInfo’s GIS and confirm asset management system. The deployment is expected to be completed in November.
The expansion in the NSW is representative in the wake of Merit’s recent tenth anniversary celebration. On August 1, Merit was able to celebrate its first decade, only to proclaim new grandiose plans for Australia and Oceania in general.
Merit has recently taken on more development and marketing of border and identity management solutions, and concluded implementation of such with Samoa and Papua New Guinea governments. Before the year is out, says Merit PR, additional contracts with other governments and the Australian gaming industry will be announced.
Also on the drawing boards are new releases for Merit CRM and BMS. Perhaps of most tangible importance are the shiny new offices Merit personnel are set to inhabit: In September, the Merit offices will relocate to South Melbourne, another market the Meritage hopes to exploit to full potential.
