SAP Holds Conference for Sustainability
SAP, the business software provider, is holding a four day SAP for Utilities conference that starts today, September 19. Approximately 800 SAP customers and software companies will attend this annual event. The conference is being held to discuss the latest developments and offerings in the technology world that involve increasing sustainability in the ever changing energy landscape. The conference will take place in Huntington Beach, California until this Wednesday.
The theme of the event is “Sustainability for the New Energy Era”. There are many events scheduled, including speeches and keynotes from technology leaders, representatives from utilities companies, SAP employees and more. In addition, SAP representatives, customers and partners will be giving presentations and showing exhibits that will discuss advanced metering infrastructure and smart grids, enterprise asset management, customer relationship management (CRM), business intelligence and performance management.
The regional vice president of Utilities at SAP America, David Laker, said, “The SAP for Utilities 2010 conference registration is poised to surpass our 2008 benchmarks, clearly showing that growth is back on the agenda for the world’s leading utilities.
