SAP Launches Business ByDesign iPhone App
On Tuesday, SAP, the business intelligence and enterprise software provider, announced the launch of its first iPhone application. The iPhone app was developed to combine with SAP’s Business ByDesign.
The most recent update of SAP’s Business ByDesign was released in July, 2010. The software was developed with small and medium sized business (SMBs) in mind. Business ByDesign offers preconfigured processes for managing customer relationships (CRM), human resources (HR), projects, finance, supply chain and procurement.
The iPhone application is aimed at business users who are managers or in sales departments. While it does not have augmented reality features, it has a number of other innovative features.
This application is being offered in the iPhone and iPad Apple App Store for free. SAP’s iPhone App is available for all devices that run on iOS 3.1.3 and above. It is ideal for current SAP customers who already have SAP’s Business ByDesign feature pack 2.5.
The SAP iPhone application is only being offered for iOS at the moment, but SAP plans on expanding the app and offering it on more mobile platforms, such as BlackBerry, Android and Windows Phone 7.
Hey… that makes total sense! We are bombarded with technology from all sides that sometimes it is extremely confusing. I mean how many features of your cell phone do you really use! The key to great technology is that it is simple yet able to produce great results. One such software technology can be found at http://www.SuradoCRM.com/ondemandcrm. It’s affordable too! And the best part is that there is a free trial – so, check it out before you dive into yet another set of technology that you are not going to use!
