Screaming Bee evolves

Representatives of Screaming Bee (Now there’s a name!) have announced the firm’s latest evolutionary step in its quasi-legendary voice-changing engine for online games, VoIP and multimedia applications. The digital technology powers MorphVOX Voice Changer and is now available for companies.

The company has made enhancements to audio quality, background cancellation, and noise reduction. But, hey, the voice-changing engine can modify a speaker’s voice to an infinite number of target voices. (An infinite number – nice!) The engine can be plugged into software products on the PC, Mac and Linux platforms; PDAs; and cell phones.

Currently, the Screaming Bee engine is frequently used in online or console games to provide in-game voice morphing, though Screaming Bee PR does state that “voice-changing functionality can enhance telecommunications, allowing callers to communicate using a wide range of voices.” (An infinite number of target voices, eh…?)
