Smoothing the ProTrak

ProTrak International has announced the release of ProTrak Advantage CRM 4.5. ProTrak’s web-based CRM solution is a specialty product for investment managers, funds-of-hedge funds, hedge funds and private equity firms. Company PR promises that “a major emphasis of ProTrak’s development effort is the provision of additional tools that give users more control over their ProTrak desktop without requiring IT support.”

Enhancements touted in the upgrade include:

• New user customization options that allow users to set different background colors for main profile windows and pans; to hide or view individual columns in each data pane; and to select different themes for the main profile screens.

• Users may now attach Crystal reports, Excel reports, and other external reports directly to the ProTrak main menu.

• ProTrak administrators may now specify default values and/or calculated values for individual data fields.

• Security permissions may now also be applied to individual client portfolios and fund holdings.

• The ability to preview mass e-mails before sending.

• In the Holdings/Transactions import, additional data fields and a new import wizard to give flexibility in importing data fields.
