Speaking lucently
Nomadix, Inc. and carrier HotSpots have announced the expansion of an existing agreement with Lucent Technologies to provide global remote technical support and repair and exchange services for the Nomadix Service Engine. The Nomadix Service Engine is the core infrastructure component for Nomadix public access Wi-Fi products; Lucent’s RTS and RES are planned to “become cornerstones” of Nomadix business services.
NIS support services, under terms of the agreement, will include NSE software updates; web access to detailed product support information; 24-hour email technical support; 24-hour call center support; advanced replacement hardware support; and e-mail alerts. The Nomadix Service Engine is a Wi-Fi gateway that resides in venue, carrier, municipality, or service provider infrastructure to enable connectivity in public access environments. Since its inception, Nomadix has shipped over 26,000 NSE-enabled units to customers in over sixty countries.
Newbury Park, Calif.-headquartered Nomadix is a leading supplier of public access Wi-Fi gateways and services. The company offers the Nomadix Service Engine and Nomadix Interconnect Services, a suite of services including intelligent roaming, content, application delivery and business services in conjunction with NSE-powered public access networks.
