Thinking green, Objectively

It’s good to see someone’s thinking a bit green. In this case it’s Objective Corporation, together with their new friends the Scottish Natural Heritage, a government body formed to help care for, conserve and manage Scotland’s wildlife, habitats and landscapes.

SNH implemented Objective Corporation product in simplifying its record management and, ultimately, to cut down on waste of paper. Indeed, the Objective solution seeks to enable the SNH to store, manage and deliver information in coordinated fashion and therefore essentially utterly eliminate all traces of previous paper-based records management systems.

Objective implemented a central EDRM server, three remote EDRM servers and three multi-server replication servers. The Objective team integrated the system with SNH’s Groupwise email before migrating data from existing paper files from spreadsheets into Objective. Objective also laid the groundwork to enable integration of the EDRM module with its web content management module.
