Thirteen hundred TalkTalkin’ NetSuite
NetSuite, Inc., the leader in on-demand business software suites, has announced that TalkTalk Direct, communications and free broadband provider owned by The Carphone Warehouse Group, has deployed NetSuite CRM+. TalkTalk has licensed more than 1,300 seats.
TalkTalk is reporting that the move has resulted in “exponential growth in TalkTalk’s customer base and call centre traffic.” TalkTalk spokespeople praised the rapid speed of implementation. The NetSuite folks were just as stoked, too: “We have had great success in the telecommunications industry, and the TalkTalk win is our biggest to date,” said Dean Mansfield, NetSuite senior vice president of worldwide sales.
With more than 500,000 free broadband customers, TalkTalk dubs itself as “one of the largest broadband providers in Europe.” TalkTalk is the communications company of The Carphone Warehouse. Since launched in the UK in February 2003, TalkTalk has become the number one alternative to British Telecom, with over 2.6 million customers. April 2006 saw TalkTalk release the first-ever single-fee broadband service, launched the UK’s first ever FREE broadband service, offering high speed broadband of up to 8Mb.
(Six months later in October, the Carphone Warehouse announced the acquisition of AOL’s UK internet access business, immediately becoming the third-largest broadband provider in the UK.)
TalkTalk also boasts a no. 1 rating in customer satisfaction among UK landline companies and one interesting customer guarantee: The aptly-named TalkTalk £1,000 challenge promises customers £1,000 (approximately US $1,909) if they can prove their calls are more expensive than BT.
The Carphone Warehouse was established in 1989 by Charles Dunstone, and today is Europe’s leading mobile communications retailer, generating annual turnover of £2.355 million (approximately US $4.49 million). The company operates in ten markets and employs over 12,000.
NetSuite, Inc. is billed as the leader in on-demand business software suites and the fastest-growing software company in North America, according to the Deloitte Fast 500 study. NetSuite seeks to enable management of accounting, enterprise resource planning, CRM, and e-commerce.
