Wipro and Salesforce.com ally

With a touch of pride, Wipro representatives were able to announce their new global strategic SI partnership with San Francisco, Calif.-based Salesforce.com. Under terms of the alliance, Wipro will provide consultation and implementation service for the on-demand applications of Salesforce and AppExchange. Wipro is now touting the combination of Salesforce.com AppExchange on-demand platform and CRM solution expertise along with Wipro’s complete range of IT consulting and system integration services, through which the company seeks to expand its reach into the global on-demand CRM solutions market.

Press material from Salesforce.com, meanwhile, emphasized the importance of Wipro’s expertise in bolstering Salesforce.com offers already skyrocketing in popularity. “Wipro brings extensive experience and deep insight to the design and deployment of strategic technology implementations,” said Salesforce.com worldwide channel and alliance senior vice president Bobby Napiltonia. “We are excited to work with Wipro to extend their expertise into on-demand solutions, which will further accelerate the momentum and adoption of on-demand computing worldwide.” This agreement represents greater extension of the two companies’ current interaction, which is becoming quite extensive.

Wipro and salesforce.com are working together on several major initiatives that support industry-specific solutions to meet specific business needs of enterprise customers. Wipro is also developing tools, frameworks and methodologies based on the salesforce.com AppExchange platform. The currently booming Salesforce.com manages customer information for over 20,000 customers and approximately 400,000 paying subscribers including Advanced Micro Devices, America Online, Avis / Budget Rent A Car (a.k.a.
